During the Holiday season, while it’s more common to think of the wonderful time spent with friends and family sharing homemade goods and surprising one another with thoughtful gifts, don’t underestimate the stress that comes with the holiday season. According to a recent study conducted by the American Psychological Association, 69 percent are stressed by perceiving a “lack of money,” and 51 percent are stressed out about the “pressure to give or get gifts.”

The members of our staff have dedicated their lives to the well being of others; we want to ensure a relaxing environment and do so by ensuring our spa lounge is a place for our guests to savor a much needed moment, meditate or simply relax.
With our 60-minute Aromatherapy Massage, we like to enhance your experience with the use of essential oils that extracted from herbs, flowers and roots. For thousands of years, these oils have been by the Greeks, Romans and Egyptians for circulation improvement, healing wounds and as an aid in relaxation; we’re extremely happy to be able to bring this thousand-year old remedy to our business to enhance your experience.
In a study conducted by the American Bodywork and Massage Professionals Association, 70 percent of consumers get a massage for restoration and relaxation. It’s been proven that aside from the plethora of health benefits, getting a massage can be more beneficial than you think for helping you return to a peaceful state-of-mind.
But not only are full-body massages beneficial, scalp massages or scalp therapy, has been becoming more and more popular because of how beneficial they can be, after all, there’s nothing like a good scalp massage to melt away tension. The benefits from these treatments extend far beyond relaxation as these scalp treatments unclog the hair follicles, releasing natural conditioning oils. As an added benefit, they stimulate blood flow, so nutrients can better reach the scalp and nourish your hair.
Our Scalp Therapy is an add-on that can be done whenever you come in for a hair appointment of any kind. This extensive half-hour scalp massage induces blood flow and is extremely beneficial for dry and oily hair types and will help to ensure your hair grows stronger over time.
For those times you can’t make it in, you can give yourself a scalp massage at home — it’s that easy! Begin with a shampoo and/or conditioner that is rich in clay which acts as a sponge, absorbing grime with the soothing properties like that of tea tree oil and rosemary, all of which help with itching. The next step is exfoliation; using a fine-tooth comb or a brush with flexible rubber bristles to loosen buildup. Wash hair clean, and then slowly massage a clay-based mask into your scalp and cover with a hair cap and rinse after 20 minutes. Not only will this help your hair feel fresher than ever before, but it will have that smooth, glossy look as well.
We hope these helpful hints and tips help your survive the holiday season because nobody deserves to live a constantly stressful life. We wish you and your family a warm Season’s Greetings and Happy New Year, we can’t wait to see you in 2016!
